Overview

We were asked by the new  Royal Marsden hospital – the new Oak Cancer Centre to supply them with a quantity of our Eidos self check-in kiosks to populate the reception and entrnce areas of the hospital. The Eidos kiosk is a firm favourite with hospitals up and down the country due to its style and decades long reliability. The quality of the kiosks matches the premium nature of the healthcare services at the new Royal Marsden.

Key Objectives

The key objectives for us to supply The Royal Marsden were:

  • Ensure that the premium EIDOS style kiosk meets the spec needed by the Royal Marsden hospital.
  • Epic Healthcare Software suite was to be run on the kiosks where a barcode scanner was to be integrated to streamline the patient check-in process.
  • To make sure that the delivery and installation was seamless and a pleasure for the hospital to work with us.

Making our technology easy to deal with and resilient is part of why our kiosk technology is selected. Making the technology look great in and not like a piece of POS kit is also why K4B is selected as a kiosk supplier.

The NHS Kiosk...

Why the EIDOS?

Timeless Design: The Eidos design was conceived a decade or more ago to be styled for hospitals and for any person needing to use them.  The DDA stylish design has not needed to be updated as it is timeless.

Nothing Unnecessary: The Eidos combines aesthetics and functions in a very understated manner. Perfect for  The Royal Marsden requirements – and most other hospital institutions.

Conclusion

Since the opening of The Oak Centre the Eidos kiosks have been fully operational, fully embracing the idea that self service delivers solid benefits for all that come to the Oak Centre, avoiding queues and generally helping patients to get where they need to be with minimum fuss and difficulty.

Job done!
